With form-fitting joist hanger screw head, in particular for sheet preform wood connections in shopfitting, formwork construction, new builds and renovation.

Steel, galvanised, partial thread, joist hanger screw head, AW drive

Joins wood instead of splitting it

Reinforced head with enlarged contact surface

High contact pressure

Cylindrical shaft reinforcement to outer diameter beneath head

Form-fitting sheet preform connection and high shear-off values

Asymmetrical coarse thread

Rapid screwing and high extraction values

Patented tip with mating thread

Reduced splitting effect, rapid gripping and pin-point placement

AW drive

Wobble-free, secure placement of screw

Material

High-strength steel for high breakage torques/galvanised, blue coated (A2K).

Notice

The screws are not suitable for outdoor use and for rooms subject to short-term or continuous high moisture levels! Please use ASSY® 3.0 A2 stainless steel screws in these cases.

To attach metals to wood, machine a precise cutout in the metal tab.

ASSY 3.0 chipboard screws are optimised for use in wooden materials. When used in plastic anchors, a reduction of the load-bearing capacity is possible. Therefore, we recommend only using screws without optimised thread tips (drill bit, mating thread, ring thread, serrated edge, self-clearing groove, etc.) in plastic dowels, e.g. Würth ASSY D, prefix 0151 (countersunk head) and prefix 0153 (pan head).

Application area

Ideal for sheet preform connections that are to be disassembled again at a later point or for connections with high loads on thin wood cross-sections.

Comparable shear-off values and greater extraction values compared to 4.0 mm anchor nails.

Permitted for sheet preforms with a thickness of 1.5 mm.

Direct attachment of sheet metal and sheet preforms to coniferous timber, wooden materials produced from coniferous timber, board plywood, LV and hardwood. Pre-drilling optional in coniferous timber. Hardwood must be pre-drilled according to ETA 11/0190.

Instructions

Screw-in angle 0° to 90°.

Pre-drilling option in solid wood and wooden materials produced from coniferous timber permitted. Hardwood surfaces must be pre-drilled according to ETA 11/0190 (coniferous timber d = 3.0 mm; hardwood d = 3.5 mm).
