Self-tapping screws form a nut thread in cast blind holes, rim holes, drilled, lasered and punched sheet metal parts. Unlike thread cutting, thread-rolling does not interrupt the material structure in the receiving thread. Instead, the material is displaced and strain-hardened.
Eliminates thread cutting
Saves money
Non-cutting thread formation
TRILOBULAR shape of the screw combined with the radius profile of the thread flanks
- Low rolling torques with greater thread flank overlap
High clamping force
Large thread flank overlap
High load-bearing capacity
Strain-hardened receiving thread (nut thread)
Greater load-bearing capacity
Play-free and self-locking thread seating
- Reduced likelihood of screw working loose
Protection against loss
The formed thread corresponds to a standard metric thread
