As a result of the intense accelerating effect of copper or copper alloys, the sealant can begin to cure during the sealing process. This can cause micro-cracks, which may lead to leaks in the future. We therefore strongly recommend preliminary tests for process assurance if the pipe sealant is used in connections containing copper that will come into contact with water ≥40°C over a long-term period. The user is responsible for determining the suitability of the product for the particular application and adhesion process.
Certificates/test reports:
- NSF-registered, Class S6, thread lock - no direct contact with food
- DVGW-approved, tested in accordance with DIN EN 751-1
(Not permissible in domestic gas installations in Germany in accordance with DVGW TRGI 2008)
The usage instructions are recommendations based on the tests we have conducted and on our experience; carry out your own tests before each application. Sealing compound MULTI can be used as a medium-strength screw and bearing lock set, as well as a surface, pipe and thread sealant, which should be removable with normal tools.
The product is designed for use in the automotive and commercial vehicle industry, in metalworking and tool manufacturing, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering and engine construction, and electrical and electronics construction.
This liquid plastic cures when in contact with metal in the absence of oxygen. The contact surfaces must be dry and free from dust and grease. Moisten the adhesive surfaces sufficiently and put them together immediately.
