- Prevents heat loss caused by unnecessary airflow.
- Prevents moisture penetration of internal heat insulation and, therefore, the impairment of the insulating effect.
- This vapour barrier is reflective due to the metallic coating on the inside. This boosts the insulating effect and creates a more efficient vapour barrier.
- Due to the embedded mesh fabric, WÜTOP DS 100 is extremely resilient and tear-resistant compared with conventional construction films.
Wütop DB 100 is installed beneath the heat insulation, stapled using a hammer tacker or hand-held stapler and fixed in place with battens.
Wütop DB 100 can be installed both crosswise and parallel to the rafters. The best seal is achieved when the membranes are laid parallel and overlap on the rafters.
Seal all joints and tacked points with suitable adhesive tape.
Openings (e.g. chimney, windows etc.) and connections must be connected with airtight seals.
