The sonoscope is a versatile electronic diagnostic tool with a professional headset that allows the user to amplify sounds during a road test. The set has 6 extremely sensitive microphone clamps that can be mounted near numerous parts of the vehicle where it is usually difficult to make a diagnosis (wheel bearings, brake callipers, universal joints, shock absorber springs, differential, transmission, areas of bodywork creaking, back of the instrument panel, injectors, alternator, water pump, turbocharger, power steering pump, air-conditioning compressor)
During a road test, these various parts do not make the same noise as when the vehicle is on the lift. In order to precisely diagnose a problem under the vehicle, the vehicle must be driven so that all the components and bearings are under full load and operating under real driving conditions
